Enterprise Project Manager

Responsible for developing Project Plans and Timelines used to help manage the daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance of the IT Department as it relates to delivery of IT Business Systems/Solutions.  Focus on discovering business and technical requirements, documenting requirements, project planning, tracking, communication to stakeholders, setting and managing expectations and capturing and reporting project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Proactively identify business and technical requirements and create project plans to manage the implementation.
  • Assist IT management in creating a Project Portfolio Management dashboard/system which keeps IT management informed of project progress.
  • Assist in creating IT Process and Governance documentation as well as helping to define and implement processes and governance throughout the organization.
  • Communicate Authoritatively regarding Project schedules, expectations and outcomes.
  • Assist IT management in assessing, planning, forecasting and trending current and future needs.

 

Operational Management

·         Work directly with Business Unit stakeholders to identify current needs as they relate to IT. 

·         Work with BU stakeholders as well as internal IT resources to identify and document the proposed solution, technical and non-technical tasks, testing criteria, user acceptance criteria, success factors etc.

·          Understand, Investigate and Document existing business processes and make intelligent recommendations about how we can enhance, refine or re-engineer those processes using SharePoint and other technologies.

·         Work with Technical and non-Technical staff to develop solution recommendations to the business unit and communicate how the solution meets business requirements.

·         Manage day to day task expectations for the IT department as it relates to many enterprise impacting projects.

·         Manage day to day communication regarding project progress/status and roadblocks to IT and stakeholders.

Position Requirements

·         Perform Business Analysis and document technical and non-technical requirements including User Acceptance or Success Criteria.

·         Identify and document projects, tasks, milestones and outcomes using Project/Excel etc…

·         Communicate status, issues, risks, milestones and outcomes to both internal and external IT stakeholders.

·         Document meeting minutes, agendas, and key decisions or outcomes and distribute information accordingly.

 

Formal Education & Certification

·         Four-year college degree, preferably in CIS or MIS

·         10+ Years of Experience in Enterprise Project Management or Business Analysis role.

·         PMP Certification from PMI highly desirable.

·         SharePoint Project Management Training highly desirable.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • In depth MS Project experience.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects from an Enterprise perspective.
  • Practical experience monitoring, communicating and resolving project related issues.
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Practical experience establishing or operating steering committees or governance boards as they relate to IT project management.
  • Experience keeping meetings on track and on time.
  • Experience with Project tracking within SharePoint as well as knowledge of SharePoint’s capabilities highly desirable.
